 Touraine is situated at the crossroads of several major trunk roads, namely the main Nantes-Lyons and Paris-Hendaye roads.
10 trunk roads converge on Tours. There are two major Paris-Bordeaux road links: the RN 10 and the Aquitaine A10 motorway.
Tours has excellent communication links, through different regular coach lines, with localities within the department.
Tours-Saint-Pierre-des-Corps is an important and well-served railway station. Links between Tours and Paris are particularly numerous and quick, especially since the arrival of the TGV Atlantique high speed train. Paris-Montparnasse/Tours-St Pierre des Corps : 55 mins. Lille (possibility of LondonTours-St Pierre des Corps : 2 hours 35 mins.
